Monthly Marketing Report Template
Marketing reports that are data dumps don't get read. Reports that lead with insight — what changed, why it changed, and what we're doing about it — build client confidence and make decisions easier.
This template is structured as a narrative report, not a dashboard export. It opens with an Executive Summary: 3–5 bullet points covering the most important results of the month. The rest of the report provides the supporting detail.
The Traffic section shows overall sessions with month-over-month and year-over-year comparison, broken down by channel. The Leads and Conversions section reports total leads, conversion rate, and cost per lead across paid and organic channels. The Channel Performance section gives one section per active channel (SEO, Paid Search, Paid Social, Email, Organic Social) with key metrics and a brief narrative on what drove performance.
A Test and Learning section documents any A/B tests, new campaigns, or strategic changes made during the month, with results or next steps. The Priorities section closes the report with the top three focus areas for next month and the rationale for each.
The template is designed to be completed in under two hours by pulling data from GA4, Google Ads, and your email platform. Formatting is client-ready — clean, readable, with space for the agency brand.
