Influencer Outreach Brief Template
A poorly written influencer brief results in content that doesn't reflect the brand, missed deliverables, and payment disputes. A clear brief sets expectations before work starts and becomes the reference point if anything goes wrong.
This Google Doc template walks through every element an influencer needs to deliver good content. It starts with a Brand Background section — who you are, what you sell, and what the brand stands for — so creators aren't relying on a quick Google search. The Campaign Objective section explains what you're trying to achieve (awareness, traffic, conversions) and what success looks like.
The Content Requirements section is the most detailed. It covers required messaging points, product claims that can and can't be made, hashtags to include, whether the brand gets approval before posting, usage rights, and exclusivity requirements. The Deliverables section specifies exactly what's expected: platform, post format, quantity, publish date range, and story swipe-up or link-in-bio requirements.
The Compensation section documents the agreed fee, payment schedule, and what triggers payment (delivery, live date, or performance). A final section covers FTC disclosure requirements for sponsored content.
Works for micro-influencer gifting campaigns and larger paid partnerships.
